Did you know that your Surgical Grade Paper supplier must have AFE?
AFE Certificate – Authorization for the Operation of the Company – Art. 51 of Law 6360/76
Provides for Health Surveillance to which Medicines, Drugs, Pharmaceutical and Related Supplies, Cosmetics, Sanitizing Products and Other Products are subject, and provides other measures.
Art. 51 – The licensing, by the local authority, of industrial or commercial establishments that carry out the activities referred to in this Law, will depend on having been authorized to operate the company by the Ministry of Health and on meeting, in each establishment, the requirements of technical and sanitary nature established in regulation and instructions of the Ministry of Health, including with regard to the effective assistance of qualified technical responsible to the various sectors of activity.
Single paragraph. Each establishment will have a specific and independent license, even though there is more than one in the same location, belonging to the same company.
What is AFE?
It is the Operating Authorization Certificate (AFE Certificate). This document is issued by Anvisa, proving that the company is authorized to carry out the activities described in the certificate.
